Iowa’s Coldwater Conservancy Sponsors Waders in the Water Level 1 Scholarships for Students

Are you interested in a career in restoring streams and wetlands?  Your first step is education and certification.

Iowa’s Coldwater Conservancy (ICC) is partnering with Waders in the Water to sponsor scholarships for the Waders in the Water Level 1 online conservation and restoration training course.  Students ages 16-22 will learn the fundamentals of protecting our freshwater fisheries resources, and gain skills leading to job opportunities in conservation.

During Waders in the Water Level 1, which requires about 6 hours to complete, you will learn basic safety, materials and installation for aquatic restoration, and how to improve the climate-resiliency of our streams, rivers, coastlines, and wetlands.  On completion, graduates receive a Level 1 Waders in the Water Certification, which puts you on the path to projects and careers in the $10 billion/year restoration economy.  For more information on the course, visit:

Tuition scholarships are limited.  To apply for a scholarship, send a statement of interest and your resume to ICC at: [email protected]
